Objectives

The main activities of this work package are to define and implement a dissemination strategy for the project, to define and implement a plan for exploiting the sustainable components of the project including working with external vendors on downstream adoption opportunities, and to look after the management of project and partner intellectual property.

It is important that the C3-Cloud solution is sustained after the project, promoted and taken up by health ICT companies and adopted by healthcare systems around Europe. The objectives of the exploitation activities under Work Package 2 entails thoroughly and continuously planning for this sustainability and wide scale adoption of the C3-Cloud project outcomes in a post project phase. During the lifetime of the project, the task leader Cambio together with all project partners are tasked to report four business and exploitation plans consisting of detailed instructions on how to lift the project outcomes to a sustainable and beneficiary stage.

All project partners contribute to the production and delivery of promotional materials that explain to different international audiences the healthcare challenges that C3-Cloud is addressing, the way in which healthcare and patient empowerment can better respond to multi-morbidity, and the solutions we are developing.

Achievements to date

As each project year contains one business and exploitation report, the project has so far provided three out of four reports. The reports are categorised as deliverables and they describe the common view of all partners when it comes to business and exploitation plans. Workshops, documentation work and teleconferences have so far been concluded. Each partner that is building a key component of the C3-Cloud solution has now defined their own intended role in supporting sustainability.

In the last year we have made many presentations (15 conference presentations, exhibition stands or posters, and 12 workshop presentations), produced a video, and published several articles in newsletters. We have also contributed to expert workshops and think tanks.

Current status

As the project just entered the fourth and last year, there are ongoing plans for a final exploitation workshop, teleconferences and a vendor forum prior to the final business and exploitation report. We will demonstrate and explain the C3-Cloud solutions, and the healthcare reasons why it is important, to a wide range of ICT companies and other stakeholders through workshops and publicity materials.

We have prepared the legal grounds for this by ensuring that all of the intellectual property that pre-existed the project and which has been developed during the project is clearly assigned to relevant partners and is able to be shared by others through appropriate agreements. This will allow C3-Cloud solution to be marketed and/or licenced to other companies after the project.

We have used the European Commission’s Innovation Radar (https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/innovation-radar) to chart our progress and to help us to ensure the final maturity of our technology products will be “market ready”.

Intended outcomes

The C3-Cloud project is expected to have a plan for how to exploit the project outcomes. This includes a common business model canvas, a final SWOT analysis as well as a description of what tasks will be carried through in a post project phase to ensure a sustainable solution after the project ends.
